How and Where to Watch
Some games will be broadcast in the U.S. via FOX. Others may be broadcast on Spanish-language channels like Univision or TUDN. But my research indicates that all games will be streaming on TUBI’s FOX Sports channel for free. The catch is you only get one free hour. Pumas UNAM vs. San Diego FC

In what was one of the most surprising score lines from last week, tournament debutantes San Diego completely demolished Pumas in Snapdragon Stadium. It certainly didn’t start positively for the home side when Robert Morales hit a stunning overhead kick in the 11th minute.
Pumas managed to hold that one goal lead into halftime, but SDFC kicked into another gear after the break. In a twenty minute span they drilled in four goals of seven on frame shots. Pumas were completely outplayed, managing only four total shots on 26.8% possession.
Obviously, Pumas cannot afford to be complacent facing a three-goal deficit. The home crowd will be fired up and looking to drive their side into what would be a huge comeback win. For San Diego, the biggest decision will be tactical. Do they park the bus and hope to absorb Pumas’ attack, or go out on the front foot? This competition uses the away goal rule, so it would be in their interest to play aggressively.
Tigres UANL vs. Forge FC

Almost as surprising, but far less exciting, was the nil-nil result from last week’s game in Canada. Forge FC continued their impressive home streak without a loss, and goalkeeper Dimitry Bertaud was the hero of the night making seven saves for the clean sheet. The frigid temperatures didn’t stymie the Tigres attack; they took 20 shots and controlled possession.
The reverse fixture should present very different conditions, with a balmy 70 degrees in Monterrey at kickoff. Forge FC will likely sit in the low block and hope to strike on the counter. With the away goal rule in their favor, and even liking their chances with a shootout, they’ll be looking to keep the scorelines level. Tigres must channel their mascot and play ferociously. Any slip or loss of focus and they could find themselves embarrassingly eliminated in front of their faithful.
